Personal simulator

Setup, follow_house vs manual, the house simulator.

Initial setup

The personal simulator is only available on Pro. When you activate it from /simulator, you pick:

  • Initial virtual capital in EUR (suggestions: 1,000, 10,000, 50,000 — but any amount works)
  • Operating mode: follow_house or manual
  • Risk appetite: conservative / balanced / aggressive (affects suggestions and rotation if you're on follow_house)

Once created, the simulator updates every night with the day's actual closes.

follow_house mode

The simulator automatically replicates the decisions of BurMarket's house simulator in your virtual portfolio. Every week:

  1. The house simulator makes its decision (hold or rotate)
  2. If it rotated, your simulator does the same operation with your virtual capital prorated
  3. You see the impact on /simulator and a summary in the weekly report

Designed to help you understand the rotation pattern without having to decide each move. Useful if you want to learn by watching.

manual mode

You decide buying and selling from the simulator interface. No commissions, no slippage, no time restrictions. It's a practice environment — cheap to make mistakes here where it doesn't hurt.

Every operation is logged with timestamp, theoretical price (day's close), and optional rationale. After months you'll have a journal of your own decision pattern — useful for detecting personal biases.

How we follow the house simulator's decisions

The house simulator is a weekly virtual portfolio managed by Claude Sonnet with a deterministic prompt:

  • Every Monday it evaluates current positions and candidates
  • Decides hold or rotate (exit 1 + enter 1)
  • Publishes the full decision with reasoning on /transparency
  • Maintains an honest track record, including bad weeks

Constant rules:

  • Max 1 rotation per week (hyperactivity filter)
  • No leverage, no shorts (risk filter)
  • Weekly-monthly horizon (churn filter)
  • Only the 22-stock active universe

If you want to understand how each decision is made, the transparency page is your best friend: you have the model's reasoning week by week, the actual outcome, and the gap between expectation and reality.
