Introduction
What BurMarket is, its philosophy, and your responsibility as an investor.
What is BurMarket?
BurMarket is an AI-powered stock market information platform that helps you understand what's happening in the markets across a curated universe of 19 stocks currently covered (NYSE + Nasdaq), with daily narratives generated by Claude Sonnet, an automated dip detector, and a personal simulator where you can practice without real risk. The BME market (10 Spanish stocks) is pending quote-provider activation and will arrive in a future sprint.
It's not a robo-advisor, not a broker, not a signals channel. It's a radar and a logbook.
Philosophy: information, not advice
Everything you see in BurMarket is market information and interpretive analysis. We never tell you what to buy or sell. The product's internal glossary and the model's narratives are explicitly blocked from using recommendation language: "buy this", "sell now", "price target" — none of that appears in the app.
Why? Because individualized financial advice requires regulatory licensing (SEC in the US, CNMV in Spain, equivalents in other countries), deep knowledge of your personal situation, and legal responsibility for each decision. BurMarket has none of that and doesn't want to. We give you context and data; the decisions are yours.
Your responsibility as an investor
If you decide to invest:
- With money you can afford to lose. Markets can drop 50% in a month — ask anyone who lived through March 2020 or 2008.
- Diversifying. Any single stock can go to zero. ETFs, indices, different sectors.
- With a clear horizon. A 6-month and a 10-year horizon are completely different games.
- Without borrowing to invest. Margin, leverage, loans to buy stocks — the worst enemy of retail investors.
- Consulting a licensed advisor if you handle significant capital or aren't sure.
BurMarket is a tool, not a substitute for personal judgment or qualified professionals.
